Can someone tell me the symptoms of kidney cancer? What is the scientific name of kidney cancer?

When I have questions about cancer I go to the internet and type in example.....Cancer of the kidneys/signs and symptons...and the info will pop up. Try it.

Can someone tell me the symptoms of kidney cancer? What is the scientific name of kidney cancer?
The most common type of Kidney cancer in Renal Cell Carcinoma (Hypernephroma) 80% of all adult kidney cancers. There are others, some children get Wilms Tumor. I was dianosed with RCC in June 2000, and with metastatic disease (moved to my lungs) in October 2001. Alpha iterferon and IL II therapy knocked a lot of it down, then RF ablation knocked what was left back even further. Now I am on angiogenesis inhibitors and doing well, the impact on my life is minimal.
Reply:"Renal Cell Carcinoma"

It is characterized by a lack of early warning signs.

Renal cell carcinoma may remain clinically occult for most of its course. The classic triad of flank (side) pain, hematuria (blood in the urine), and flank mass is uncommon (10%) and is indicative of advanced disease. 25 to 30 percent of patients are asymptomatic, and their renal cell carcinomas are found on incidental radiologic study.
Reply:kidney cancer is renal cell carcinoma which is the most common form. Mum was diagnosed last may with it. When discovered it had spread to her liver and lung. She had NO symptoms except 3 'bleeds' in her urine two weeks prior to diagnosis. It was stage 4, incurable she pasted away 4 months later aged 60.
