How do grammatostomias flagellibarba [scientific name]reproduce?

They are also known as Dragonfish which use their lights (called bio-luminescence) created by specialized organs on the body (photophores) to communicate w/ other fish. They can lure in mates or prey and they help to scare predators away.

They are in the family Stomiidae which are generally egg layers. After fertilized the eggs float to the surface where the larva metamorphosis in young adult form and then descend into the depths of the ocean. I'm not sure if we've determined if this species is born male and female; however, some stomiiformes are born male and change sex later in life.

They use photophores, organs which are created by bacterial symbiotic relationship to produce light, that attracts mates.
