How could I identify the scientific/latin name of the plants i grow?
If you want to learn to determine the names for yourself, you will need to look into botany. You can pick up a used text (something with a title like Botany 1101) fairly cheap on the web. It will teach you how to narrow your search. It would probably also give you a lot of enjoyment since you're interested enough to ask.

If you don't want to learn how to id them by yourself, take several pictures of the plant in question. Post them in the Botany section of Y!A, found under Biology. It would also help if you also post the habitat they're found in, like SE United States or only grows inside oak tree holes.
Reply:Try the local name on Yahoo Answers - someone will know what it is.....or try it out on the internet. Some gardening books give both common and Latin names. A photo of it on a gardening website might help you too as there are some very knowledgeable people out there.
Reply:When and if you buy new plants, there is generally a description of it plus the sc/latin names attached. As already said, go to google etc....
