What is the scientific name of the planet Mercury?

There is no scientific name for it, except Mercury. In all reports, and documentation, it is called, simply, Mercury. Same with the rest of the Planets, they are all called, by everyone by their given names. No designations or anything else. The only thing it has different is probably its symbol linked to below

I was about to say "Mercury" ... but I think I see what you are asking.

For planets, the usual designation is a number after the name of the star they orbit.

The scientific name for the Sun is Sol (which was the Latin name for it). So, Mercury would be Sol-1, Venus would be Sol-2, Earth would be Sol-3 and so on from there.
